Who is behind MediaServe?

MediaServe was formed in 2002 as ChurchQuest.com, by Troy Leaver, who at the time was an independent developer contracted to develop mission critical software for clients such as Louisville Gas and Electric, the State of Ohio, and Promus Hotel Corporation (now owned by Hilton Worldwide).

Troy had a desire to serve churches with economical web and streaming services, and as a result ChurchQuest.com was launched in March 2002. In short order, the company was providing economical Christian web hosting, and as our reputation grew, many members of churches we served began using our web hosting services for business or personal websites. In 2008, the company was rebranded as MediaServe to put an emphasis on the media streaming services it provides.

Troy and his wife of 18 years, Amy, along with other family members and employees, have poured their professional lives into the company. Despite its growth, MediaServe retains the atmosphere and close client relationships typical of a smaller company. Troy manages the company's servers and provides timely technical support, and is easily reached by support ticket, telephone or live chat through this website. Amy is a certified teacher who both home schools the Leaver children and helps manage the company. Zach Leaver is in training and will soon take an active role in sales and support.

MediaServe is a Limited Liability Company registered in Tennessee. Our offices are located in Williamson County, Tennessee, in Franklin, a southern suburb of Nashville.

The Leavers are members of Cornerstone Presbyterian Church. MediaServe, as a Christian-owned and family-friendly company, does not host content that its owners would not allow their own children to view.

Data Center

We have cabinets full of servers colocated at the new Corexchange data center on Henry Hines Boulevard in Dallas, Texas. Sunday while our church clients are broadcasting worship services live, we tend to reach our peak throughput of approximately 1 gbps, which is only 50% of our 2 gbps connection.

We use multi-processor, multi-core Dell and SuperMicro servers with dual power supplies on separate power circuits, and RAID storage for redundancy.
