Big Changes Coming!

Over the next few months, our service will be undergoing a number of enhancements and additions. We figure it's about time to get the word out, and let you know what's in the works.

Mailing Address Change

We've already moved into new office space, and invoice notification emails have had the new address for a couple weeks now. Please make note of the new location. We're now on Main Street in the heart of Historic Franklin, Tennessee, a suburb of Nashville. Our new address is:

New Services

Over the next few months, we'll be rolling out some new services. Here's a brief description of some of our new upcoming services:

E-Commerce

A turnkey e-commcere service is in the works which will consist of a bundle of hosting, dedicated IP address, a commercial grade shopping cart, and full support for the shopping cart direct from us. We've done the research and have settled on a shopping cart system that is extremely robust in terms of features and configurability, yet also easy to manage. We currently have several customers using the new service, while we ramp up and prepare to launch it publicly, and so far they're loving it.

Flash Streaming

We've been streaming Windows Media for nearly 7 years now, and we're finally ready to add another format. Sure, quicktime and real media formats have been around for awhile, but in terms of installed player base, they've been overshadowed by Windows Media - so we've stuck with Windows Media. However, given the growing popularity of Flash Streaming, the occasional requests we receive to support it, and the incredible 98.5% or greater market penetration of the flash player in major markets, we've finally decided to move in this direction. We will continue to support Windows Media streaming as well.

PHP Web Application Development

A PHP script developer will be joining our team in the near future, to handle custom web application development.

Church Content Management

This service is in the intial planning stages. For churches finding it difficult to keep their websites updated and fresh, we will be offerring a content management service. We will create a custom website, and then make all the updates for you - you'll just send the information you want added to your site to us, and we'll update the site. No more trying to find competent members to keep your site up to date - you'll always be assured of quick updates whenever you need them.

Web Audio and Video Production

This service is in the initial planning stages as well. A talented individual and long time friend of the MEDIASERVE staff will be joining the team, and will be responsible for this unique service. With decades of radio and media experience, he will be doing professional voice over and video work for websites. If you have a message to get out, or a product to sell - you'll be able to have your message professionally produced and integrated as audio or video right into your website! Rather than reach your audience with just text and images, why not add professional audio and video as well? Commercial radio audio and television video services will also be available.

Telephone Support

Along with new services above, and new staff members, we'll be providing telephone support, where we've strictly required customers to use the online, email-based help desk in the past. Telephone support will be available during business hours. The help desk will continue to be available 24/7, and will still take priority.

Company Name Change

With all of these changes, we very well may change our company name on July 1st. No final decision has been made yet, but we have a couple ideas for a new name and domain name in mind. One we have already registered, and the other domain name is registered elsewhere, but is expiring and will be auctioned off at NameJet.com, later this month. If we can manage to secure the domain name, our website and company name will definitely be changing on or about July 1st. The new name will be more expressive of the range of services we'll be offering. If we do not manage to acquire the new domain name, we may still change the name, to the alternate that we've already registered.

(More on this will be forthcoming later this month. Sorry, but we can't divulge the potential new names just yet.)
