When you sign up for flash streaming, we send you live broadcasting instructions for Adobe Live Encoder version 2.5.
We also set up a sample page with an embedded flash player which sources from your live streaming.
Using Quicktime Broadcaster is very similar to using Adobe Live Encoder, but there are a couple minor changes that need to be made.
First, make a modification to the live streaming sample player page, so that instead of "livestream" being the value of the URL parameter, it's "livestream.sdp".
Then, fire up Quicktime Broadcaster and enter the following settings:
On the Audio tab:
Select MPEG-4 Audio as the Compressor value.
On the Video tab:
Select H.264 as the Compressor value.
On the Network tab:
Enter the Host Name :1935, where is the primary domain name off your flash streaming plan.
Enter "live/livestream" as the File. Enter the username and password assigned to your flash streaming plan.
Click the Broadcast button and you should connect and be broadcasting!
