Why do I get an error registering a .ca domain name?

When registering a .ca domain name, the location/province should be set to the proper abbreviation, not the fully spelled province. Here is a list of Canadian province abbreviations:

  • Alberta - AB
  • British Columbia - BC
  • Manitoba - MB
  • New Brunswick - NB
  • Newfoundland and Labrador - NL
  • Northwest Territories - NT
  • Nova Scotia - NS
  • Nunavut - NU
  • Ontario - ON
  • Prince Edward Island - PE
  • Quebec - QC
  • Saskatchewan - SK
  • Yukon - YT
