Can I point my hosting elsewhere and just use your email services?

No, we do not support this configuration. We are a website hosting company, and you should either have your hosting pointed at us, or not use our services.
While we do provide the abililty for you to use third party email services via MX record changes you can perform in our control panel, we do not support pointing away your hosting and just using the email portion of our service.
